Reports from the Coast

Community reports were collected across four provinces surrounding the Sea of Marmara, with the largest concentration in Mudanya.

Bursa

Featured Locations: Mudanya Sahili, Güzelyalı, Yat Limanı, BUDO İskelesi, Mütareke, Altıntaş Sahili, Coşkunöz Plajı, Tirilye

The project’s largest observation hub, with especially strong community participation across the Mudanya coastline.

Istanbul

Featured Locations: Sarıyer, Üsküdar, Haliç/Beyoğlu, Kadıköy, Büyükçekmece, Maltepe/İdealtepe, Beşiktaş, Adalar, Fatih/Eminönü, Küçükçekmece, Florya/Bakırköy, Beykoz, Beylikdüzü, Eyüpsultan

Observations spanned both sides of the Bosphorus, the Haliç, the Princes’ Islands, and western coastal districts.

Kocaeli

Featured Locations: Darıca

Reports were concentrated along the Darıca coastline and nearby urban waterfronts.

Balıkesir

Featured Locations: Erdek, Ocaklar, Marmara Adası, Kole Burnu, Saraylar shoreline

Observations represented both mainland coastlines and island communities.
